Do grades show how smart you are?
While good grades are important and should be something every student strives for, they do not necessarily correlate with a student’s intelligence. While there are varying theories on what intelligence is and whether it can improve, you can gain knowledge throughout the course of your life.
Is AA a bad grade?
If you are taking an Honors or AP course, or a course simply above your grade level, an A- is a pretty good grade. Those aren’t bad grades at all. B+ and higher are usually considered above average marks.
Is 91% an A?
Some schools only grade with letters A-E (or A-D plus F), and among those that use percentage cutoffs for letter grades (not all of them), 10%-per-grade is most common, so a 91% is an A. Other schools use +/- distinctions, and so an 91 would be an A-, a 3.7/4.0 or maybe a a 3.66/4.0 or 3.67/4.0.
